The exhibition “Mudéjar, the guide” continues to tour our region: Villarreal de Huerva, Terrer and Villafeliche.

Summer is a time for visiting villages and a great opportunity to learn about their heritage and the work we do at Territorio Mudéjar. That is why the exhibition “Mudéjar, the guide” has continued touring our region over the past few weeks, stopping off at Villarreal de Huerva, Terrer and Villafeliche.

In Villarreal de Huerva, our internship team also visited the church of San Miguel Arcángel, located within an old fortified enclosure and which preserves a 15th-century Mudejar tower, the remains of an earlier construction. They also saw the remains of the castle that surrounds it and the chapel of the Virgen del Rosario. In Terrer, our interns welcomed visitors and answered their questions over the weekend. And in Villafeliche, they gave a presentation to the public in the parish church, where the exhibition was installed.

Guided tour in Muel to the exhibition “Strategies and Projects of the Mudejar Territory”

Vista de la exposición "Estrategias y proyectos de Territorio Mudéjar" en Muel, con visitantes conversando junto a paneles y publicaciones.

This morning, the Muel Ceramics School Workshop hosted a presentation on how Territorio Mudéjar works on heritage resource management through research. We explored how we approach Mudéjar heritage with a transdisciplinary methodology and create new perspectives.

Today, in Muel, we enjoyed a guided tour of the exhibition “Strategies and Projects: Mudejar Territory as a Research Space Open to the Future of Impact Management,” which is open until the 30th.

In addition, two researchers from our network of internships will be in charge of giving two practical talks:

The artist and visual artist Pilar García Verón will discuss her project, “The Wall as Dermis,” which, based on the symbolic and metaphysical concepts of light, shadow, unity, and the ephemeral, highlights the highest function of Mudejar art: to reveal the presence of the divine.

Javier Seral, industrial designer, industrial organization engineer, and senior artistic ceramics technician, will talk about his project “Barro Mudéjar.” This project explores the potential of clay from its natural state to its manufacturing process and the creation of pieces for use or application in architecture.

The exhibition can be seen until January 30, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The fortress church of Torralba de Ribota displays the exhibition “Mudejar: the guide”.

The exhibition “Mudejar, the guide” has travelled to Torralba de Ribota. You can see it inside the church-fortress of San Félix, embraced by the paradigm of the Mudejar religious space, which is accentuated by the plaster decoration on the windows and lighting oculi, the painted and stapled decoration that covers walls and vaults, and the magnificent alfarje that supports the choir.

The inauguration and explanation, by Victoria Trasobares, will be this Saturday at 10.30 am. In addition, this Saturday there is mass in Torralba from 18.00 to 18.30 and the exhibition can be visited before and after.

???? On view until 30 July.
???? From 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

The Mudejar heritage of our partner villages returns to the showcase of the tourism fair Aratur

Territorio Mudéjar is taking part for the sixth year in the ARATUR tourism fair in Argon and we are doing so with our heritage projects developed with our partner town councils.

In our stand you can make ‘visits to the Mudejar’ with historical-artistic explanations of the localities (each one in a schedule) and also of the projects that we develop there, such as the routes or the projects on route, among others.

At the end of each presentation, participants can take part in a draw for three trips to one or two partner locations.

During the fair, our stand was visited by the Minister for the Environment and Tourism, Manuel Blasco; the Director General of Tourism, Jorge Moncada; the Deputy for Tourism of the DPZ, Cristina Palacín; the Councillor for Culture and Tourism of Zaragoza City Council, Sara Fernández; the Member of the Aragonese Parliament, Leticia Soria; the Councillor of Zaragoza City Council, Armando Martínez, and Manuel Teruel, President of the Zaragoza Trade Fair, among others.
