In 1982, ICOMOS established April 18 each year as the International Day for Monuments and Sites, to celebrate and promote cultural heritage, as a time to contemplate its diversity, relevance and vulnerability, as well as the need to preserve and understand it as an opportunity for the future.

The chosen theme this year was Rural Landscapes, which is linked to the theme of the 2019 ICOMOS Scientific Symposium to take place in October in Marrakesh and also related to the organization’s efforts to assert the value of heritage that is related to, entailed in and part of a context defined as cultural landscape which combines historical, artistic and natural resources, people and regions.

Territorio Mudéjar joins the celebration, as a Rural Landscape that is firmly committed to communication through networks in which we invite you to get to know us and to visit us on these days. You can follow our activities or learn more about our region by using the contact details on our website and over our social media accounts.
