{"id":23099,"date":"2023-11-23T21:14:05","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T20:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.territoriomudejar.es\/technical-conference-on-andalusian-heritage-as-a-cultural-tourist-and-economic-asset\/"},"modified":"2025-05-13T12:38:56","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T10:38:56","slug":"technical-conference-on-andalusian-heritage-as-a-cultural-tourist-and-economic-asset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.territoriomudejar.es\/en\/technical-conference-on-andalusian-heritage-as-a-cultural-tourist-and-economic-asset\/","title":{"rendered":"Technical conference on Andalusian heritage as a cultural, tourist and economic asset"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Territorio Mud\u00e9jar was this Tuesday invited to the opening table of the provincial technical conference &#8220;The Andalusian heritage as a cultural, touristic and economic value for the future of the province of Cordoba&#8221;, organised by the Las Fuentes Foundation with the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Cordoba and the collaboration of the University of Cordoba.<\/p>\n\n<p>At this meeting, the Medina Network was presented at a conference attended by the following participants:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Felipe Vidales, Complutense University of Madrid, who spoke on &#8220;El Toledo isl\u00e1mico, conexiones con otros centros andalus\u00edes&#8221; (Islamic Toledo, connections with other Andalusian centres).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Victoria Trasobares, director of Territorio Mud\u00e9jar, who spoke about &#8220;Networking around Mudejar heritage&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B\u00e1rbara Ruiz Bejarano, from the Las Fuentes Foundation and TM researcher, who spoke about the Medina Network and Muslim-Friendly tourism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The network of medinas is a plural and open initiative that seeks to culturally and socio-economically revitalise municipalities in the Iberian Peninsula that possess a legacy of Islamic origin, whether Andalusian or contemporary.
