Miguel Arc\u00e1ngel. Built in the early 17th century, this tower represents one of the best examples of this period, in which Mudejar forms, deeply rooted in Aragonese society due to the late expulsion of the Moriscos from this region (1610), experienced a late revival and a persistence of the Mudejar ornamental schemes.\r\n<br><br>\r\nThis tower falls under the mixed structure category that became popular and widespread starting in the second half of the 16th century: it has two sections, the lower one with a square footprint over a masonry plinth and the upper one being octagonal. The protruding brick ornamental schemes follow the outstanding tradition of the school of Calatayud, with Villafeliche representing one of the best examples of this current. The bottom section is decorated with simple and staggered angled brick friezes.
